Reflection on Your Work Together...Group Processing

It is important for you to assess your work along the way and at the end. Why do you think such assessment could be valuable to you and how might it strengthen your team's performance?

Instructions: Using 1 as the lowest rating and 5 as the highest rating, indicate the degree to which you were successful in each of the following group tasks:

A)  Goals setting and planning                                                    1 2 3 4 5
•    sharing preferences and expectations
•    clarifying responsibilities and roles
•    establishing standards for finished product

B)  Positive interdependence                                                       1 2 3 4 5
•    sharing leadership responsibilities
•    acknowledging individual contributions/strengths
•    using resources of all group members

C)  Individual accountability                                                         1 2 3 4 5
•    following through on assigned tasks
•    distributing workload equitably
•    helping the group maintain focus on task
•    demonstrating commitment and enthusiasm

D)  Positive group norms                                                             1 2 3 4 5
•    demonstrating respect for all members
•    listening attentively
•    encouraging and supporting others
•    negotiating resolutions to conflicts

E)  Communication                                                                      1 2 3 4 5
•    contributing ideas
•    supporting opinions with facts
•    asking for clarification and expansion of ideas
•    summarizing ideas and drawing conclusions

Once the team has evaluated their work, they need to decide on what areas they would like to or need to improve or strengthen.

Finally the group needs to discuss with the teacher the project topic or theme that the group would like to pursue...good luck. I know you will be successful!!!
